NAVIGOMES AWARDED TRANSPORTATION OF 130 MEN AND WOMEN OF A SPECIAL PORTUGUESE POLICE FORCE TO ACCOMPLISH A MISSION IN IRAQ

Lisbon (Portugal), Navigomes has made the most favourable proposal and has obtained the corresponding contract to transport a Portuguese police force of 130 men and women from Lisbon to Kuwait City. The force carried along some 20 tons of equipment including personal arms and ammunition.

Navigomes took charge of the operations as from the military depot in the outskirts of Lisbon and organized customs formalities in the airport.

Military personnel, several journalists and cargo were flown to Kuwait City on an Airbus A330-200 chartered by Navigomes.

The airplane landed safely in Kuwait City on November, 13th, early morning; cargo and military were transferred to trucks bound for south Iraq.

Luís Branco, managing-director of Navigomes, is quite happy with this job that comes very much as a result of several other timely transportation tasks performed for the Portuguese Armed Forces on different occasions in the near past.
